A simple guide to what you pay — and why
Joining RSC involves three separate costs, paid to three different places. Here’s the simple breakdown.
1. Membership fee (paid on Swim Central to RSC)
Covers your child’s registration with Swimming Queensland/Brisbane/Australia, insurance, and eligibility to race at any sanctioned meet. The cost of an annual competitive membership is $210.01, unless a Play On! Sports Vouchers is used.
Season runs 1 July–30 June
The official membership year is the same as the Australian financial year.
Current members get a grace period until 30 September each year. If not renewed by 1 October, access to Swim Central and meet entries is removed.
2. Training fees (paid directly to Belgravia Leisure)
A weekly charge covering squad coaching and pool access.
Coaches are employed by Belgravia and train all swimmers at the centre — leisure swimmers and RSC athletes alike — which is why this fee is separate from club membership.

3. Race entry fees (paid on Swim Central per event)
Your membership fee gives your swimmer access to enter swim meets. Each meet then has its own race entry fee, which covers the cost of running that specific event.
This fee is charged when you choose your swimmer’s races (called a nomination) and is paid directly to the organisation hosting the meet.
