The Pho3nix Junior Excellence (JX) program recognises swimmers aged 9–13 who achieve qualifying times at approved meets. Each season, Swimming Australia updates the JX criteria and qualifying times, giving juniors clear, achievable goals. It’s not about being the fastest — it’s about finding your best and growing into it.
Swimmers can earn Gold, Silver, Bronze or Blue standards based on their results at JX‑qualifying meets.

🎯 What JX Means for Our Juniors
- Clear, age‑appropriate goals
- Instant recognition when a new standard is achieved (parents/guardians receive an email notifying them)
- Access to clinics and national ambassadors
- Special JX merchandise to celebrate progress
🤝 How We Support JX at RSC
Our coaches help swimmers understand their JX targets, track their progress, and celebrate every milestone. Families are encouraged to enter JX‑qualifying meets so times count toward the program.
💙 More Than Just Times
JX builds confidence, pride, and a sense of achievement. Every new standard — Blue, Bronze, Silver or Gold — is simply a marker of progress. The real goal is beating your own personal best, one swim at a time. When juniors focus on improving themselves, the higher standards naturally follow.
