Club Nights
Club nights provide swimmers with the opportunity to experience carnival style races in a more relaxed environment with a friendly and fun atmosphere. They also give swimmers the opportunity to keep track of their times in preparation for upcoming swim meets.
Events for all four strokes are held every club night for the 25m, 50m and 100m distances.
Club Nights are generally held every second Wednesday night during the swimming season (except school holidays) commencing at 5.00pm and concluding at approximately 6.30pm. A BBQ will be available every club night to support fundraising for the club.
The club night season runs from October to April each year with the Club Championships in early May seeing out the end of the competitive season.
Nominations
All nominations should be completed via Swim Central by midday the day of Club Night:
- It is exactly the same process as nominating for a meet.
- Sign in to Swim Central and select the Event from the events calendar or events list
- Select the swimmer you are nominating from the drop down list
- Choose races / events for each swimmer
- Complete the transaction for the nominations ($0.00)
- The parent will receive a confirmation email, plus the nominations can be checked within the Events tile of the swimmer under the My Events tab in Swim Central
Swimmers may nominate for as many as six (6) individual events (one from each colour), however it is suggested that a maximum of four (4) events are entered.
It is suggested that swimmers do not progress to the further distance of a stroke if they have not achieved the below times in said stroke.
200/400 IM should be entered only if swimmers can comfortably swim 50/100m of each stroke.

Volunteers
To run successful club nights, we rely on the help from all families throughout the year. Aside from those already committed to a committee position, we need parent volunteers to assist with timekeeping, marshalling and starting to ensure that club nights run smoothly.
Club Championships
In April / May each year, Redlands Swim Club hosts our Club Championships swimming meet which is our end of season championship and determines our Club’s Swimming Age Champions. It’s an action packed day full of racing and fun. Medals are awarded for each event and age group and trophies to the Age Champion and Runner Up. Special performance Coach Awards are also presented to selected swimmers at our Club Championships.
